The much-anticipated redfall happened and greatly disappointed the Xbox community. No one is alien to the bad press Xbox has endured over the past few days, to the point that Phil Spencer came in person to speak on the subject. During a Kinda Funny Games podcast, the head of the American brand discussed this media hype and took full responsibility.

Phil Spencer doesn’t seem to be playing the language of wood in this interview. The direct questions merge and the guy answers them:
We want to offer diverse experiences for all segments of gamers thanks to our multiple studios… I want to give studios their creative freedom and not force them in any particular direction… I won’t change our philosophy, but we will change our quality control methods.
As for the future, Spencer confirms that the showcase (scheduled for this June 11th) will be objectively good. Featuring unreleased titles and updates on previously announced games.
The big games are coming up. Whether it be starfield, Forza Motorsports, Hellblade 2 or confesses who is making good progress, they approach.
One of the big promises of the next-gen launch was the availability of big games every three months. Spencer confirms that this rhythm of four titles per year will be reached very soon.
Microsoft excited us in 2021 and let us down in 2022 because of the multiple postponements. But 2023 began with the big surprise Hi-Fi Rushand continue with Age of Empires II on the Xbox, which seems to be a hit. Surely redfall stumbled over the carpet, but to generalize the series generation to this failure would be inappropriate.
