The new campaign, which spans five incredible stories full of secrets and side quests, offers players a lovingly crafted story that they can play alone or with their crew. Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life will be free to all players and will be the cornerstone of Sea of Thieves’ third season on June 22nd.
Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life is the game’s most ambitious story-driven campaign to date. Players will go on a quest to free Jack Sparrow from his prison and experience the power of the world’s greatest pirate treasure, which Jack accidentally stole. Jack is being pursued by his old enemy, the notorious Davy Jones, and their arrival on the Sea of Thieves will ultimately spell disaster if Jones and his troops are not stopped.
Of course, new adventures also bring new environments and challenges. As the story progresses, players will fight alongside Captain Jack Sparrow against Davy Jones and have the opportunity to explore memorable locations from both universes – not just Sea of Thieves and Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean film series, but the ones too famous park attractions that have delighted people for decades.
Players will also face grave danger from deadly new enemies wherever they sail. Fearsome phantoms require quick reflexes while sirens teem beneath the waves, using their own devastating weapons. Even the decks of ships are unsafe when there are clumsy ocean crawlers. These new threats will appear throughout Sea of Thieves in future updates, not just during players’ adventures with Jack Sparrow!
The Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life Season 3 Update will be available for free to all Sea of Thieves players starting June 22, 2021, who will be using the game on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC or Steam or players who have access to it with Xbox Game Pass.
