Awesome, indie developer Wishfully is excited to announce that their long-awaited cinematic puzzle adventure Lana’s Planet it will launch with Game Pass when it launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. It will also launch on PC via Steam and the Windows 10 Store in Spring 2023. This new date will give Lana’s Planet some extra development timeto realize the ambitious potential that Thunderful and Wishfully believe this adventure has.
Ahead of its public gameplay demo at Gamescom 2022, Wishfully has teamed up with Xbox to unveil a new trailer and post a feature on the Xbox Wire portal. This shows a glimpse of some of the complementary mechanics players can discover between Lana and her cat Mui’s company.
“We’re sorry that completing development of Planet of Lana is taking longer than originally anticipated, but we promise it will be worth the wait”said the director of Wishfully, adam starlight. “Planet of Lana has been a project that we’ve been passionate about for a long time, so we want to make sure that when it’s finally available, people get it in pristine condition. Plus, Game Pass holders will be able to play it on launch day. , which is exciting for us because it means we can share it with as many fans as possible.”.
A beautiful and moving story
Set on an alien world, Lana’s Planet tells the story of Lana and her faithful animal companion Mui as they embark on a rescue mission to save their sister. This heartwarming story is experienced through the lens of a side-scrolling cinematic game format. All this while players explore a colorful world filled with stunning environments, strange creatures and dangerous machines.
From a game point of view, Lana’s Planet is an adventure filled with daring platforming, engaging puzzles, tense stealth sequences, and complementary mechanics that connect Lana and Mui. This allows for unique gameplay and story moments using their skills together.

The soundtrack of Lana’s Planet is composed of OF and BAFTA nominated composer Takeshi Furukawaknown for his work on The Last Guardian.
