Hideki Kamiya confirmed that the launch of Project G.G., the latest installment of a Japanese superhero trilogy created by a Japanese designer, will take place in today's comforting generation. This third installment, announced by the Platinum Games just a few days ago, is one of four projects the Japanese company has planned for the future, and in Kamiya's words, it may be sooner rather than soon.
In some statements to IGNthe director Hideki Kamiya explained why the big giants were chosen and how it will be different from previous games. “We have called it a part of the freedom struggle of Hideki Kamiya. The first two titles are Viewtiful Joe, the solo hero of the story, and The Wonderful 101, which is a tale of a group of heroes. In Japan, the next type of hero will be a great hero, and I always wanted to make a game based on that idea. ”.
But while Viewtiful Joe and The Wonder 101 were pure action games, this wouldn't be the case. Of course, any game you play will involve carefully designed action elements, but this will not simply be an action game. There will be so much more than that.

And although the tokukatsu and kaiju types are well known, Kamiya notes that Project G.G. It can't actually be limited to the same. “It can't be some kind of game; Stories of super heroes are popular in Japan, with things like Ultraman, and the game will have that kind of flavor, but I don't want to limit myself to the kind of Japanese heroes. Therefore, the configuration may not be Japanese, since that would have limits. But I have not yet made a decision ”.
Platinum's creative director, Atsushi Inaba, spoke extensively about the upcoming platforms the launch of Project G.G., confirming its emergence from the victories of the present generation. “We would actually like to get to the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and Steam, and then, the PS5 and Series X, will be arriving soon. We don't know exactly when this will come out, but we would like to launch it on any major platform at that time. ”.
Moreover Inaba says that the launch of Project G.G. it won't happen in "three years", but he said we won't see him in less than a year, though "As our first and only published game, we want to deliver as quickly as possible". Similarly, Kamiya said she did not mind being released prematurely. “Oops, I do not wish to introduce games immediately! My only wish is to introduce good games ”.
