Lead an orc clan to inner peace in the emotionally intelligent turn-based strategy building game Don’t Kill Them All.
Fika Productions, the creative team behind Ship of Fools, announces their second game: Don’t Kill Them All. A turn-based strategy and building game that offers you the opportunity to save orcs from their destructive and bloodthirsty impulses by helping them learn new things about themselves. The game will be released on Steam and consoles.
Take on the role of a half-orc, self-proclaimed life coach raised by elves, and ask your murderous relatives a simple but cutting-edge question: “What if we didn’t kill everyone?”
Life as an orc is hard. They’re great at destruction, but not much else, and when simple resource gathering always leads to murder and pillaging, it can be hard to develop a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. Simply put, the Orcs are broke!
Your goal
T-ork-xish behaviors are spreading through your clan, and the orcs need your help to band together and temper their violent ways. Help them build their camp, gather resources, and gain glory for the clan while staying mindful, prioritizing relationships, and preserving your surroundings. However, not everyone supports your mindful reform project, and many will try to hinder your progress!
Mindful turn-based combat
Restraint doesn’t come easy to an orc. When you attack the enemies, you risk damaging the resources you want to collect or creatures you want to protect. Plus, orcs aren’t the best listeners – you can only give a limited number of commands before your energy runs out, so choose your moves carefully!
Base construction carefully
The camp is the heart of the orcs. Here they can live out their passions and cultivate their well-being, whether through yoga, baking, caring for animals or staging a magic show. Of course, it’s also a place for a good old fashioned fight!
Dare to go on dangerous raids
To collect valuable resources, lead your orcs on daring raids! Uncover a large map as you traverse different biomes, each with their own creatures to discover, resources to collect, and monsters to (thoughtfully) fight. Those who stay will enjoy engaging in self-care activities to maintain the mindful stability of your camp.
Moods
As an emotionally-savvy life coach, it’s up to you to get beneath each Orc’s murderous, thorny, terrifying exterior and bring out the vulnerable, soft feelings. Improving the Orcs’ well-being not only increases their overall quality of life, but also makes raids and battles much easier! For example, a happy orc will quickly hop around the battlefield, while a sad orc left in this state for too long will lose motivation to fight.
“We are very excited to introduce our emotionally sensitive orcs to the world,” said Antoine Grégoire-Slight, producer and co-founder of Fika Productions. “Never before have these creatures learned sensitivity, companionship and sustainability in such depth – Don’t Kill Them All breaks new ground in the Orc Compendium.”
