Port for console confirmed again

confirmed, Console, port

Square Enix Yoshi-P once again confirms the port of Final Fantasy XVI, this time for consoles!

Naoki Yoshida and DLC director Takeo Kujiraoka spoke about the PC port of Final Fantasy XVI in an interview. It was confirmed that after porting it to the PC, the team will think about releasing the role-playing game for “other consoles” as well.

“We are also working on the user interfaces and customization options for the PC version that players have come to expect from PC ports. On top of that, we are working on an all-in-one package in which you can combine the base game with all DLCs for the PC version. Although I can’t give an exact date for when it will be released, development and optimization are going smoothly,” said Yoshida.

“We should have a release date soon. Once that’s released, we can also think about porting it to other consoles.”

Naoki Yoshida has already indicated in advance that Final Fantasy XVI will be released for the Xbox. At the moment, however, exclusive contracts between Square Enix and Sony still seem to muzzle the developers. A clear statement should then perhaps be made after the PC release.
