You find yourself in Harbourtown, New Wirral, where you are being attacked by ferocious monsters! But the residents choose to fight fire with fire. By recording monsters onto retro tapes, players can literally become the monsters they fight and use their newfound powers in battle.
And that’s not all – tape beasts introduces a revolutionary new feature that allows players to fuse two of their monster forms into one powerful fusion form. Now, at last, the citizens of Harbourtown are ready to face their monstrous foes!
Explore a rich open world
Explore a living open world and discover hidden treasures and secrets. In human form, you can use various monster abilities to get around: glide, fly, swim, climb, swish or even become magnetic!
When you’re ready to take on the world, you don’t have to do it alone. Team up with a partner and form bonds as you spend time together to become a better team. The strength of your relationship will affect how well you can grow together. So don’t forget to achieve personal goals and work together to unleash the full potential of the hidden powers of this world. you will need it. The island of New Wirral holds many hidden secrets and spooky stories, as well as interesting characters to meet!
Master a deep battle system
Use elemental chemistry to your advantage! Use elemental buffs and debuffs to boost your attacks, weaken your opponent, or even change your opponent’s elemental type. With strategic use of elemental chemistry and the ability to fully customize your moves and attacks (stickers). As you explore the world, you’ll even find various rare stickers – the possibilities for customizing your monster forms are almost endless!
Play couch co-op with friends
Let your friends join in and explore the unknowns of an open world together! Transform and fight your way to stardom in couch co-op mode and watch your relationship grow stronger.
