In the German games charts there are no surprises and the tried and tested fare.
What do GTA V, The Sims 4 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have in common? They are all several years old – and are still (again) at the top of the official German games charts, determined by GfK Entertainment. While the open world bestseller from Rockstar Games dominates the PS4 and Xbox One hit lists and EA’s life simulation defends the PC crown, the Nintendo racing game ascends the Switch throne. The 3DS leader, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, also looks back on a long history.
The best-selling next-gen titles have a significantly earlier release date and are called Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (PS5) and It Takes Two (Xbox Series). The highest new entry this week is the Day One Edition of the RPG Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, which initially reached positions five (PS5) and seven (PS4).
