Activision still has not published any official news from Call of Duty 2025. Admittedly, Treyarch and Raven Software Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 recently appeared.
Nevertheless, the gaming community continues to think about who will be the main developer of the next Call of Duty this year. What is already known: Sledhammer Games was originally supposed to develop Call of Duty 2025.
The studio declined this task due to the experience with the short development time of Modern Warfare 3, which is said to be only 16 months. So there is currently no defined main developer for Call of Duty 2025.
According to rumors, Activision could determine as the main developer Treyarch and the High Moon Studios. However, Activision would change the appearance of the appearance, since Treyarch recently launched a Call of Duty part.
There is also a supposedly high number of new ones Job advertisements As a position Concept Artist, which suggest that you prepare for a new project. Both High Moon Studios Surprisingly, employees for a Open World Game or -Per wanted.
This does not match the typical linear gameplay style of the Call of Duty series. There could be several possible explanations for this unexpected job advertisement: High Moon Studios could work on a new, previously unschifted project that differs from the Call of Duty franchise.
Furthermore, there could be an expansion or realignment within the Call of Duty series that introduces open world elements. But it could also be further developments of Warzone or preparations for future projects.
Since both Treyarch and High Moon Studios initially appear unlikely as the main developer, the question arises as to which Studio Activision could commission to develop. A studio or a combination of several studios that has not yet been considered will take over the development. Without official confirmation of Activision, the situation around Call of Duty 2025 remains unclear.
