The new live-action Resident Evil movie will be released at the end of 2021.
For the year 2021 it is since Capcom have several projects from the series in progress resident Evil, starting of course with Resident Evil Village for Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and PC. It’s now that we also got to know a vivid fact about the reboot that the series will have in theaters. Places such as the Spencer Mansion from the first installment or the town of Racoon City from the second will be visited, so hopefully this time around we will have a movie more attached to the original material.

Through Resident Evil’s Twitter account for cinema, an image was shared to announce the end of filming. Directed by Johannes Roberts (Terror at 47 meters and Strangers), the film will premiere on September 9, 2021. After filming Resident Evil is finished, the production team will continue to work on special effects and editing.
The animated series will also air on Netflix next year. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. This CGI series will star Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy, seeing them in action in the trailer released months ago.
