Redfall, Arkane’s vampire game will look more like Far Cry than Valve’s zombie saga.
A few years ago was announced Redfall, a game from Arkane, creators of Dishonored or Deathloop, coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day, at a TBD time in the first half of 2023. The cooperative shooter has been showcased at numerous events, with various trailers and gameplays. This is where fans saw strong similarities to the Left 4 Dead zombie saga, due to the co-op component and the change in enemies for the zombies. But it seems that they are wrong since Ricardo Bare, creative director of the game, came out to deny these statements.
And it is that the creative understands that this conclusion is reached, since the game has some similarities with the Valve saga. But further from reality, since in the current game we will have a large open world to explore. Additionally, Bare comments that the game will be more like Far Cry. After this statement, Bare also revealed new details about the game, such as the fact that there will be a camp where we can interact with NPCs and get side missions. He also comments that We can follow the main story of the game, or get lost in the world and discover it at our leisure. Although the game is similar to the Ubisoft saga, it is also emphasized that the world of Redfall will be smaller and slower, as there will be no vehicles to navigate.
