Asobo released a few hours ago the patch for A Plague Tale: Requiem which allows to choose the performance mode with 60 fps.
asobo It was announced a few hours ago that A Plague Tale: Requiem now has a performance mode. The game released last Octo ber was released without this performance mode for which, like Redfall, it was criticized. Seven months after launch, this much-requested mode has finally arrived, But will it be what the players expected?
To put us in context A Plague Tale: Requiem
He performance mode which has just arrived leaves us with significantly lower resolutions than before and will not reach all platforms. To start both in X-Series like on PS5, the resolution at which the game runs in this mode is 1080p. The loss of resolution is evident when we compare the two modes. In addition, it is clearly seen how certain parts of the scenarios have lost vegetation and its density.
In S series the patch is not available, since A Plague Tale: Requiem was already running at 1080p and 30fps and implementing 60fps would probably have meant dealing with dynamic resolutions between 720 and 900p, which would not have allowed for a good gaming experience. In short, if you want my opinion, this 60 fps mode is ideal for users who do not have a 4k television. For my part after trying the different modes, I think the best alternative is the normal mode with VRR which gives a great gaming experience.
In the following user video Alka Jugger You can see a very good comparison of modes and different consoles:
