Castle of the pixel skull is a fast-paced and challenging platform game. The goal of each level is simple: get to the exit door and avoid all enemies, traps and obstacles. The mechanics are very simple with just one action, jumping. This simplicity does not mean that it is easy, on the contrary, it is a very challenging game that will require all of your expertise to complete each level. Despite all of this, the correct use and position of the checkpoints ensures that the game will not become a frustrating experience.
Castle of the pixel skull is one of the first games I developed and I think it makes one of the most entertaining so far. Many things have changed in this new version: the gameplay has been improved, the difficulty curve has been smoothed, the graphics have been modified to make them more visually attractive, and more levels have been added (the number of which has even been doubled). , among other things. Now a little about myself: I’m Josep Monzonís, an independent video game developer. I started making games 11 years ago and my passion is playing and making fun games. I’ve developed a lot of games over those years, however Castle of the pixel skull is the one I’m most proud of. I love to watch people play and see their satisfaction when they finish a tough level. I like to be involved in every development process: programming, art, design etc. For me game development is a manual work and I think that being deeply involved in all aspects of development gives the final product a very personal finish.
I met the guys at 2Awesome Studio at a developer event and we built a relationship that has enabled me to fulfill my dream of getting more of my games out on consoles. I really like working with the entire team because of the closeness and professionalism.
