The puzzle game is a genre that I particularly like. Whether thanks to an impeccable narration with comic puzzles as in the two episodes of Portal, or intelligence and a perfect game design, as has managed to suggest The witnessI’m a fan. Here, backfirewall_ offers a gripping, touching and above all excellently written story! There’s humor, puzzles, humor and gameplay with little onions, and most importantly, lots of humor. With its brilliant and original story backfirewall_ is a must-live adventure if you like puzzle games and portal or Stanley parable are references for you. We feel a real passion in this game that makes me forget it to start it all over again.
Storytelling in Backfirewall_
The pitch of the game is original, you are an operating system undergoing a major update to bring new life to a device. However, not everything goes as planned and the artificial intelligence does not let them go. It suggests you cancel this upgrade by running it cleverly thought out puzzles with a lot of humor
It also happens that the OS9 quickly loses its body after training you and informing you of the different adventures that await you. OS9 is not only an artificial intelligence, but also the narrator of the story, a kind of Glad0s and nicer. An instantly charming narrator full of sarcastic wit and sincerity, two qualities that will become even clearer as the adventure progresses. OS9’s characterization and vocal performance, as well as the meta-comedy of backfirewall_make it almost impossible not to compare with the excellent structure of The Stanley Parable
Simple, fast but fun puzzles!
You’re browsing a cell phone’s hardware, so you’ll find a few materials you’re probably familiar with like RAM, storage, and the like. In addition, the adventure begins in living memory. You have a list of conditions for everything to work, it’s up to you to sabotage everything for nothing to work. So your task is to intervene in the scenery so that the RAM fails.
As with any good game, the puzzles get progressively more difficult as the game progresses, and while they’re rarely daunting, some can be challenging enough to warrant a hint. To do this, you have at your disposal a magnificent plastic duck that will tell you what you need to do to move forward and not get stuck in a room. It’s totally optional! If not, OS9 will also help you. However, the narrator won’t give you any clues for a long time! After all, we’re not there A plague story
