Rune Factory 4 Special is slated to be released for Xbox consoles and PlayStation 4 in autumn 2021.
This fall, Rune Factory 4 Special will also be released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 4. The remastered version of the RPG appears for the first time on Microsoft and Sony consoles. Originally the title was only available for the Nintendo 3DS, from February 2020 also for Nintendo Switch.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox release of Rune Factory 4 Special will include all of the gameplay elements from the original Nintendo Switch 2020 release, including English and Japanese audio languages, as well as text localization in English, French and German.
In this stand-alone story, players choose whether to play as a male or female hero and meet a multitude of potential suitors and other lovable townspeople. As a newly appointed prince or princess, one performs royal duties by issuing orders to make the city prosperous, or by taking a more relaxed approach to governance by growing crops and helping the townspeople.
If a dungeon adventure is on the daily schedule, a wide range of weapons and magic can be manufactured or purchased for the fight against dangerous enemies – companions or friendly monsters can also support the player on his travels.
