Nacon has secured the exclusive rights to publish games on the basis of the FIA World Rally Championship by 2032.
After Codemasters announced the hiring of any development work on current and future rally games almost a month ago, Nacon now seems to want to climb the rally throne again.
Thanks to a freshly agreed agreement, Nacon has the exclusive rights for the six FIA World Rally Championship Seasons between 2027 and 2032. Between 2015 and 2023, the company and the WRC had worked together.
The start of a completely new WRC game series based on a completely new vision is planned, according to a press release:
“Nacon is pleased to announce the signing of a new agreement with WRC promoter for the publication of games based on the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The agreement includes the development and publication of the official WRC games and eSports competitions and grants Nacon the exclusive rights for PC and consoles from 2027 to 2032.”
