Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

The popular Atlus RPG “Shin Megami Tensei V” (SMTV), published in 2021 and sold more than a million copies worldwide, a new opus will be released.

This acclaimed game has evolved in all aspects, including system and storyline, and will be available on several current platforms.​

At the start of the story, the player is forced to choose between two routes

We can choose the story told in Shin Megami Tensei V, the Canon of Creation, or a completely new path, the Canon of Vengeancea dramatic epic of revenge at the hands of the dead.

The Vengeance Canon follows the plot of SMTV, but changes drastically from the second half of the game. The outcome will be completely different. Enjoy the two divergent stories, the choice is yours.​

Likewise, the combat system, the fusion of demons and the exploration of the terrain have evolved in depth thanks to the incorporation of new elements. We’re excited to deliver a fully-fledged RPG that can be enjoyed by both those who have played SMTV before and those new to the series.

The story

You will have to be God:

When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks our protagonist’s path home, an unforeseen detour ends up leaving him buried and unconscious. He wakes up in an apocalypse-ravaged wasteland that was once Tokyo, now called Da’at… but before the bloodthirsty demons that inhabit it can end his life, a savior appears and the two s unite to become a powerful being, nor human. nor demon: a Nahobino.

Demons attack humans, seeking to create a world based on chaos. For this we have Bethel, an organization that seeks to protect God’s order and caught in the conflict between the two, while exploring Da’at the protagonist meets Yoko Hiromine and begins traveling with her. Thanks to magic, Yoko and the protagonist remain united on the front lines.

The four demons called qadištu stand in his way. “We find the key to resurrection…” The qadištu Lilit calls the protagonist “the key to resurrection” and is herself one of the “oppressed”.​

More than 270 demons

In addition to existing ones, this title features over 270 demons, including new demons drawn by character designer Masayuki Doi. Live an incredible demonic experience!​

Includes demons and missions from the SMTV DLC! The demons and quests available for Shin Megami Tensei V are included as standard in this title. We encourage experienced players to try their hand at these challenging missions.

Additional Shin Megami Tensei DLC

Alongside the release of the game, DLC including new demons will be distributed.​

The demon god Dagda from Shin Megami Tensei IV FINAL and the new addition, the demonic goddess Konohana Sakuya, drawn by character designer Masayuki Doi.​

Divine will and profane dissent: When the protagonist goes to investigate a mysterious reaction, he meets Danu, the earth mother goddess, who claims to come from a world that exists in another universe. Danu is apparently looking for his son, Dagda. The protagonist undertakes the search for Dagda with Danu. Once the game is completed, Dagda can become an ally and the fusion will be unlocked.

Eastern Cherry Ashes: Konohana Sakuya deplores the turbulence that dominates the world and seeks a hero capable of imposing peace. He sees the image of a certain hero reflected in the protagonist and challenges him. Winning the fight will allow you to make Konohana Sakuya your ally, and the fusion will also be unlocked.​

At the same time, a DLC will be released that will make it easier to obtain experience and currency used in the game.
