Bohemia Interactive publishes Update 1.27, the first update of 2025 for DayZ.
Update 1.27 brings significant improvements for the gameplay and immersion. The players can explore extended areas on Sakhal, experience a revised survival system and enjoy improved audiovisual elements.
This update also introduces important functions to improve quality of life, such as: B. an adaptable boat decline system, improved backpack storage and refined fishing mechanism.

Most important functions and additions in update 1.27:
- Improved navigation, new places and new sights on Sakhal – extended cities, villages and a new attraction on the island of Shantar.
- Adaptations when fishing and survival – fishing now takes longer with incomplete tools and food poisoning is now bound to certain animal species.
- Adaptable boat decay system – server owners can now adapt the settings for boat decay to prevent abandoned ships from distorting the card.
- Extended backpack space and inventory adjustments- additional tool compartments and more general lighting and radio compartments.
- Sound & immersion upgrades-realistic steps, new character sound effects and refined shot.
- New particle effects and visual fine grinding – snow that falls from trees, improved bleeding effects and improved atemry steam.
In order to ensure a balanced and fair start for all players, a complete server extinguishing process takes place with the publication of Update 1.27.
All cards and characters were reset on all platforms to enable the survivors to make a fresh start in the new year.

Update 1.27 is only the beginning of what promises a big year for DayZ.
