Anything related to the Silent Hill saga should be taken with a grain of salt when reporting and in the news. Until now, the last thing we officially knew about the saga, after the fiasco of this supposed remaster of the first Silent Hill, was that Silent Hill: The Short Message was listed in South Korea, but in the middle of everything this process, Christophe Gans, the famous director has confirmed that there are “several games of the franchise in development”.
Gans is responsible for leading the to restart Silent Hill movie. In an interview with the French portal Movie and Game, the creator indicated that he is working with the original creators of the Silent Team and “is aware of the next game in the franchise”.

Specifically, Gans commented the following:
“I work with the Silent Team, the original creators of Konami, and there are several games in development right now. There are several teams working and a wide range of games. They will revive the franchise. I think they are very impressed with the success of the Resident Evil remakes, which are truly exceptional.
I don’t work directly on games, but with Konami. Not with Kojima, but with the Silent Team, which I met when I made the first Silent Hill movie and which is still there.”
Another more than interesting detail, Gans confirmed that Bloober Team was working on the remake of Silent Hill 2. The filmmaker had already mentioned the Silent Hill games in June in an interview on the French portal. Jeauxactu where he said that the IPs he was going to “relaunch when it comes to video games”.
