The award-winning publisher and developer of interactive video games and films Wales Interactive announced Ritual that passes, a shooter Four-player cooperative first-person survival game. It is the successor of Maid of Sker, a survival horror set in Welsh folklore whose story takes place in a secluded hotel. The game launched in July 2020 and, although it is a very niche title, it has garnered good reviews from the trade press, considering it one of the scariest video games of recent years.
Little is known about Ritual that passes but it looks like it will change the playable mechanics of its predecessor. At Maid of Sker our protagonist was armed only with a sound device and used stealth tactics to avoid death. At Ritual that passesHowever, everything seems to indicate that what will predominate will be the Direct action. we can train a group of up to 4 people come face to face with the dark Tranquilos, using a considerable arsenal that allows us to survive their constant harassment. We do not know if this turn of the screw will end up appealing to the greatest number of fans of the original game since, a priori, the “fear factor” could be reduced with this playable system.
