Smuggling could have been postponed until next year

If we think about the next exclusive video games from Microsoft, our heads will probably go to Starfield or Avowed, but we can’t forget others like Contraband. This is developed by Avalanche Studios (creators of Just Cause), although funded by the Redmond company.

The game was shown through a teaser in 2021, but the truth is that other than it will be an open-world game and have a strong co-op component, we don’t know much about it. more (the teaser was purely CGI). Contraband was supposed to release this same 2022, but it looks like the game was delayed until 2023.

This information comes from the Xbox Two Podcast, hosted by Ran at Thor 19 and Windows Central’s Jez Corden. The podcast does not offer any information justifying this delay, and the truth is that it is strange because as we told you, the game has been in development since 2018.

Anyway, it looks like Avalanche is still pretty far from a reality, but for now what we have to do is wait for Microsoft and Xbox to give us some information about it over the course of this 2022 in one of the events they have planned.
