We’re excited to announce today that Sonic and Tails will be rolling in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as playable characters when the game launches on October 5th for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S!
This special Sega collaboration marks the 20th of each yearNS and 30NS Anniversaries of Super Monkey Ball and Sonic the Hedgehog (Both actually have the same June 23rd birthday!). The Blue Blur and his two-tailed buddy race into the world of Super Monkey Ball in time to join AiAi and the monkey gang for their latest adventure. Both characters are free and can be unlocked via normal gameplay right from the start.
Sonic fans will enjoy playing as classic versions of their favorite characters who celebrate their historical legacies over the years. Small details like replacing AiAi’s favorite bananas with Sonic’s rings or Sonic’s Spin Attack when he builds up speed add to the authenticity. Both can be unlocked for free by the Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Points shop by collecting points from the game (the time required varies, but most players can do this within 30 minutes of the game).
Sonic and Tails join a star cast Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania that includes beat from Jet set radio and more guest stars yet to be revealed. Each special guest will go through all 300+ stages in. be fully playable Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania when the game for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S starts on Octoboer 5. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will also support Smart Delivery to ensure fans only have to purchase the game once to play on their preferred Xbox console.
