dive bar 2 is now available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10! It’s also launching with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, so it’s the perfect time to play the sequel to the classic roguelike platformer that has delighted and frustrated so many gamers over the years. If the original spelunky When it came out for Xbox 360 almost 10 years ago, most gamers had no idea what a roguelike was… and those who did saw it as just a turn-based dungeon crawler. Through spelunky, we were able to show people that the “roguelike formula” can be transferred to other genres in a compelling way!
There are many great roguelike style games out there these days in almost every genre you can think of. But I think spelunky is still quite unique. For example, not many roguelikes let you blow up an entire level full of treasure, be relentlessly pursued by angry shopkeepers you robbed, or become the “ball” in a tag game between two yetis. By the way, none of this is scripted! With dive bar 2, I wanted to expand on these unique interactive elements and create even wilder, more dynamic possibilities. Among other things, you can ride mounts, navigate dynamic fluid physics, and encounter strange new characters that you can help or hinder.
If you like difficult games, dive bar 2 definitely has challenges galore, but I always say it’s just a backdrop for player creativity and exploration. A run-in dive bar 2 is not just another opportunity to reach the end, it’s also an opportunity to try new strategies, new items, and new routes (one thing that dive bar 2 adds branching paths to the original formula). You’ll also have to adapt to the new version of the world that the random level generator has created for you. Because sometimes a plasma cannon appears in a box in the first level and you just have to go with the flow!
There are also so many ways to play the game. Do you like to play cooperatively? Co-op is chaotic fun that offers plenty of opportunities to talk, plan, and then accidentally (?) lead your partners into deadly traps. But the ability to literally carry your friends and revive them in later levels means players of all ages and experience levels can have fun together. You can also compete in the arena via our Deathmatch and Hold the Idol modes and experience the mechanics of dive bar 2 in a platform fighting game! All of our multiplayer modes can accommodate up to 4 players and can be played locally or online.
From all of us on the team: We’re happy to bring dive bar 2 for you on Xbox. Over the years, the series has built a wonderful and supportive community of gamers who enjoy exploring the many nooks and crannies of the games and even surprising us, the developers, with their discoveries – some of these exploits have even made their own way back to the sequel. We can’t wait for you to join them and start telling your own story, especially now that we’re here dive bar 2 is available with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass! Happy spelunky-ing!

Spelunky returns in this greatly expanded sequel to the original roguelike platformer! Meet the next generation of explorers who find themselves on the moon in search of treasure and missing family members. Building on the unique, randomized challenges that made the original a classic, Spelunky 2 offers a massive adventure designed to please players old and new. Explore the game solo, play locally with up to four players, or team up with friends online for the first time to unravel its mysteries together (or battle it out in competitive arena modes). The world of Spelunky 2 is even more dense than the original game, with more areas, characters, traps, and items, and new ways to interact with them (and how they interact with each other). The world has expanded in other ways as well, with branching paths and multi-layered levels adding a third dimension to classic 2D platformer gameplay.
