Announced in December 2021, the remake of splinter group has been very discreet since then, and the news so far hasn’t been very reassuring. We recently learned that the director left development without us seeing anything of the game.
But the project doesn’t seem to be affected by this departure, as the Ubisoft Toronto studio gives pretty reassuring news. In fact, the team released a 20-minute or so video on their YouTube channel to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the license. The latter presents us with a discussion between several members of the team responsible for the remake. They reminisce about the good old days and share their memories of the first with us splinter group
But what interests us most are undoubtedly the few early concept art of the remake that are revealed to us. If they aren’t in-game images, they still show that this remake stays true to the original opus. And that’s what the team confirms as they spell it out The gameplay will be overhauled with newer newer technologies.
