In ancient times, people were entertained in all parts of the world with romance dramas called “radio dramas” in some parts of the world. The BBC Radio 4 English ventured again into this genre to adapt Splinter Cell in a completely original bet of which I do not remember a previous reference to another saga in the world of video games, except perhaps the prelude to The Callisto Protocol.
The timing of the premiere couldn’t be better given the announcement of the official remake of the original Splinter Cell and the idea of bringing the saga to the big screen as well. One of the big questions surrounding the theatrical spectacle was whether it would have the voice of Michael Ironside who brought the character to life in Ubisoft titles, but sadly the answer won’t be what fans want to read.
Splinter Cell also on the radio!
The BBC Radio 4 audio series will consist of 8 parts and will be released in December. The audio novel will be titled Splinter Cell: Firewall and Sam Fisher will be voiced by Andonis Anthony, who has worked on other Ubisoft productions such as Assassin’s Creed: Origins and is well known on radio for voicing The Archers.
Splinter Cell: Firewall will tell the story of a new generation of agents entering the National Security Agency’s most elite special missions program.
