GSC game world launched a statement on its social networks announcing that at last STALKER 2 will not include NFT. Even 24 hours was not enough for the Ukrainian studio to back down in its attempt to introduce content hosted on blockchain after severe criticism received from the community.

We have listened to you.
Following your advice, we have decided to cancel any type of relationship with STALKER 2 and the NFTs.
The interests of our fans are our top priority. We make this game for you to enjoy, no matter the cost. If something matters to you, so do we.

The original idea of GSC Game World was to build on this emerging unregulated market in order to cont inue its economic growth. Before even reversing definitively, the Ukrainian study published a tweet attempting to “better explain” the idea of including this new technology in the Stalker meta
