Black Panther was supposedly stamped because the pre -production took too long.
The closure of Cliffhanger Games and the associated end of Black Panther shocked the gaming world last week. Once again, a game project was stamped and people lost their workplace.
Publisher Electronic Arts stated in an internal email as a reason.
Jason Schreier from Bloomberg White a little more about the circumstances that led to closure.
Even after four years, the game was still in the pre -production phase, as Sources of Schreier claim. This is said to have triggered a frustration in the management of Electronic Arts. Also precisely because Black Panther had already reached a milestone in development, “in which managers check the progress of a game and decide whether the production should continue.”
The foundation and structure in 2021 are already called a challenge with the same time development. The expensive location in Washington, the high salaries and the extensive development phase were not helpful. A few weeks ago there were first layoffs to reduce themselves and create a vertical area. Ultimately, but without success.
