For Ubisoft, Star Wars Outlaws has the highest marketing budget ever and the company expects the game to have a strong launch.
In a conference call to discuss quarterly results, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws received the highest marketing budget in the company’s history.
He also mentioned that Ubisoft expects a strong start as the mood in the community is positive.
Guillemot said: “What we are factoring in is a strong launch for Star Wars Outlaw. That is the fact that it is one of the most anticipated games in the industry this year and reflects a really strong positive sentiment in the community, and also the fact that we are coming with the biggest marketing campaign for a Ubisoft game to date.”
The company recently released a ten-minute gameplay trailer and will probably slowly start to drum up some publicity.
