Starting June 30th, you can send your team of Wanzer pilots into battle in Front Mission 1st: Remake.
With Front Mission:1st Remake, publisher Forever Entertainment is starting its remake series of the famous turn-based strategy game. You put together your squad from a selection of pilots, which you then assemble in huge combat robots, the so-called wankingthrough an epic campaign.
Two campaigns are available to you for this, each highlighting a different side of the conflict. The battles are not fought in real time, but in rounds. You equip the Wanzer before the battle in order to be ideally prepared for the upcoming fight.
In addition, your pilots have their own strengths and weaknesses, which brings the tactical aspect to the fore, because the team is freely put together by you before the game.
“Huffman Island is the only place where the Oceania Cooperative Union (OCU) and the United Continental States (UCS) share a land border, making this location the epicenter of the second Huffman conflict in 2090.”
“As the leader of a recon platoon, OCU Captain Royd Clive is tasked with investigating a UCS munitions factory. However, their mission takes an unexpected turn when they are ambushed by UCS buggers – setting off a chain of events that plunges the entire island into full-blown war. In the midst of the chaos, Royd’s fiancé, Lieutenant Karen Meure, disappears.”
“Royd is discharged from military service and embarks on a quest to uncover the truth. Little by little he will uncover a conspiracy and learn more about the forces pulling the strings.”
The studio worked with great attention to detail during the implementation in order to stay as close as possible to the template. In addition to improved controls, the soundtrack has been completely re-recorded by an orchestra. The game system offers a revised game mode in addition to the classic mode. If you want to see the mech spectacle, you can download a demo steam try out.
This offers you the chance to look into two missions on the OCU side. In addition, you get access to the workshop to prepare your Wanzer accordingly. The game modes can be played in each of the three possible levels of difficulty. The two missions are part of the campaign, so you have the option of transferring the saved game to the finished game on the PC.
Front Mission 1st: Remake will be available on June 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox One. The second part of the remake series has also already been announced. However, the release has been postponed.
