After less than two years, the turn-based strategy shooter Lemnis Gate is being discontinued.
In a joint statement, Publishers border foundry and developers Ratloop Games Canada announced that Lemnis Gate will be withdrawn from sale on April 11th. The servers will be shut down on July 11th.

“To the Lemnis Gate community, we want to thank you all for your support of Lemnis Gate. You have accompanied us on many incredible laps in the loop. We really loved seeing your passion for the game, the amazing strategies you came up with and how you embraced this innovative twist on the FPS genre.”
“Lemnis Gate was an ambitious project to bring to life together, so it is with regret that we share this news today.”
“As of April 11, 2023, Lemnis Gate will no longer be available on all platforms. However, we will be keeping the multiplayer servers online so you can all join the loop until July 11, 2023, when they will close. Console players will still be able to access local multiplayer and practice modes, but PC players will no longer be able to play at this point.”
“We want to thank you all again for your support and for being with us on this journey. Ratloop Games Canada and Frontier Foundry”
Lemnis Gate was an innovative, challenging and completely new breed of strategy first-person shooter and challenges the players to think in a networked way. Each match took place in a 25-second time warp. But the idea never really caught on with the players.
The title was the first publication of the publisher Frontier Foundry. Even before the contracts were signed, the game managed to attract attention. The innovative concept earned the game the “Best Gameplay Award” at the 2019 Montreal Independent Game Awards. It was also nominated for Outstanding Original Game at the 2019 Unreal E3 Awards.
