The editors and developers of Dotemu, in collaboration with developer Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games today announced that their hit title Streets of Rage 4 already has a paid DLC: M. X Nightmare. The DLC, which adds three new playable characters and a special survival mode, will be released this year on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. At the same time, a free update with additional content will be released for all platforms. The announcement coincides with a spectacular milestone: Streets of Rage 4
The trailer released today shows police officer Estel Aguirre, one of M. X Nightmare’s three combat characters, joining forces for the first time with the heroes of Streets of Rage 4. Previously in-game – in his role as a boss – as a threatening rival, Estel’s powerful punches and spinning kicks deal serious damage to anyone reckless enough to stand up to him. A new game mode
M. X Nightmare also features a unique survival mode, which challenges players to raise and demonstrate their true abilities by putting their skills to the test: more details on the design and gameplay of this original mode will be available. soon revealed. Players can also create a personalized fighting style with new moves through character customization, while additional weapons and enemies ensure level of interest in all confrontations.
Separately, the free update poses a brutal challenge for players of Streets of Rage 4 more formidable with the new difficulty mode New Mania +. Fighters will benefit from an in-depth training system to hone ideal strategies and combos to take down enemies from the aisles. Plus, new color scheme options will help showcase Wood Oak City’s deadliest fighters in all their appeal.
