“Tango Gameworks was preparing a sequel to the famous Xbox title.”
Big fans of Hi-Fi Rush, Xbox’s first-party title, will be sad to know that Tango Gameworks was trying to develop a sequel before the studio closed.
This is how they became known thanks to the latest Bloomberg report published yesterday, which mentions that Tango was in the process of pitching the idea to Xbox before Microsoft made the decision to shut down the studio completely.
Furthermore, Arkane Austin was trying to take over a project “immersive simulation» for a single player after the disappointment that was Redfall, but unfortunately this studio was also a victim of this week’s closures.
It seems that Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin may have been victims of bad timing, since Both teams needed to hire more staff to complete these new projects.
