That a new version of the TES:Oblivion remake has been in development for some time is a reality. Previous reports claimed that a remake of the title was in the works at Virtuos, with the studio supposedly using an Unreal Engine 5 pipeline to develop the title.
Now, the LinkedIn profile of a virtuous employee also seems to give weight to these rumors. In his profile, Oleksii Moskovchenko, technical artistic director of the Virtuos studio in Shanghai, claims to be working on an unannounced remake based on Unreal Engine 5. He also specifies that the title will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. . , suggesting that Microsoft will continue its cross-platform release streak, which shouldn't come as a surprise at this point.
Leaks from December claimed that Microsoft and Bethesda could be preparing to announce the Oblivion remake during the alleged Xbox Developer Direct presentation scheduled for January, with a release planned for later this year.
Many years have passed since TES:6 was announced, but it is still unclear where the next ambitious TES:6 game will be developed. BethesdaIt's only a matter of time before remakes are introduced to fill the void we have left until a new installment comes out.
