At Xbox we would like to help you spend more time to play the games you love to be there when you need help – and out of the way if you don't. Copilot for gaming (beta) is designed so that you do exactly that. From today you can test this new function because it is set to the Beta version of the Xbox -app for mobile devices.
Copilot to play is the ultimate play buddy, which is more seamless and personalized with Xbox. In this early version of the function for mobile, you can access Copilot for gaming on a second screen without distracting them from their nuclear experience. The companion knows which game you play and understand your Xbox activity so that you can answer questions about the games in which you are interested, provide links to further information if your answer contains web sources or answer questions based on your account, game history and success.
If you are not sure where to start, you will find some suggestions here to make it easier for you – and remember that you can enter your input requests in chat or speak directly to Copilot with Voice:
- Ask questions about a specific game or the game you are playing. For example, if you get stuck or need tips.
- “Hey copilot, can you remind me of which materials I need to make a sword in Minecraft?”[While playing South of Midnight] “I'm currently putting Rougarou. Can you give me some tips on how to hit this boss?”
- “What is my gamerscore and can you give me some tips to increase them?
- Ask for game recommendations. If you are new to Xbox, tell Copilot about your favorite game or entertainment genres and let it recommend new games to play. If you are an experienced player, ask for recommendations which game should be played next in your game history.
- “Hey copilot, what should I play tonight?”
- “I love horror films. Any suggestions for which game should I play?”
- “I am looking for a new RPG. Can you recommend something that has recently come out on Xbox?
- Ask for your game history or your account. Like Xbox success or subscriptions.
- “Hey copilot, what is the rarest achievement that you can achieve for friends?”
- “What was the last achievement that I achieved in Starfield?”
- “When does my game pass subscription renew?”
If you ask Copilot a question, your player activity on Xbox and public information sources from the Bing search engine are described for the answer. We are working hard to bring deeper personalization, more rich play aid such as proactive coaching and many other functions for gaming (beta) at a later date.

This early preview of the copilot for games in the Beta version of the Xbox -app for Mobile is available in English for players aged 18 and over in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and other regions. You can display the full list of regions in which early tests are available Here. We plan to publish Copilot for Gaming (Beta) in additional regions at a later date.
While we explore and continue to experiment with new ideas, we will bring new functions such as Copilot for playing early and often to the community. Your feedback will help us to shape these experiences and ensure that they really match the needs and preferences of the players.
Players who have already downloaded the Beta version of the Xbox -app for mobile devices on their iOS or Android device can give feedback for games (beta) directly on Copilot for playing (beta) by selecting the “Feedback” app in the upper left corner in the upper left corner of the app, or by simply false answers from Copilot with a “Thumbs Up “or” Thumbs Down “or” Thumbs Down “in the chat.
Android users can download the beta version of the Xbox -app for mobile devices Google Play Store. If you have an iOS device and have not yet downloaded the Beta version of the Xbox -App for mobile devices, don't worry -early tests for Copilot for gaming (beta) will shortly be in the game on Windows PC, and we also have plans to continue to provide it in the Xbox -app in the Xbox -app for Mobile.
