We’re starting the year looking forward to the changes coming to Xbox. Microsoft looks back at the biggest Xbox moments from last yearbut there are some big changes on the horizon for 2024. One of those changes could be related to the traditional Xbox achievement system.
In the recent edition of the XboxEra podcast, popular tipster Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker discussed the possibility of an overhaul of the Xbox games achievement structure in the new year. According to its sources, Microsoft has already almost completely completed the renewal of Achievements, and the possibility that the news will arrive in the near future is not excluded.
Xbox achievements will change
Although Shpeshal Nick did not provide specific details about the changes that will affect achievements, we cannot rule out the possibility that they will be introduced. Platinum achievement in Xbox gamesfollowing the style of PlayStation’s iconic Platinum Trophy.
Jez Corden raised this possibility after discussing it with a supposed Xbox executive during Gamescom 2023. It could therefore be that the main novelty in relation to achievements is the arrival of a new special reward for those who complete the list of achievements 100 %. What is certain is that the achievements, as we know them, will change, it has been many years with the same system and even if it continues to work perfectly, It would be a step forward to make these changes which seem necessary over the years.
