Official development numbers for Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Modern Warfare (2019), and Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War have been revealed for the first time, and it's safe to say they're seriously impressive.
The numbers appear in a presentation that Patrick Kelly, creative director of the Call of Duty franchise, presented to the courtswhich makes the documents, in this case, public and, in turn, reveal many details.
Call of Duty, real blockbusters
In the case of BlackOps 3, Treyarch developed the game over a three-year period with a team of hundreds of people at a cost of $450 million. In the case of Modern Warfare, the remake of the 2007 title, Infinity Ward used $640 million throughout the development which lasted several years.

Now further back in time, for Black Ops Cold War Treyarch and Raven Software They used over $700 millionwhich means that due to inflationary concerns and salary improvements, the franchise's most recent payouts must exceed these figures quite well, although there are no official figures that show anything concrete. At least, for now.
