Code Vein was a breath of fresh air in the soul genre by combining it with a unique anime aesthetic. Thus, the game managed to exceed three million copies sold since its launch in 20219, which could guarantee that there would be a sequel to the game. However, there is no news about this, but it seems that we have the first indications of its development.
A sequel which would be directed by Hiroshi Yoshimura, who had already directed the first game and would reprise his role.
The director of Code Vein and Dog Eater is already working on his next game
The thing is that Yoshimura has already confirmed that he is working on his new project, to which he has devoted the last two years. A game that he maintains in the greatest secrecy and which, for the moment, he cannot tell us about, as he indicated to 4Player.
Over the past few years, I’ve been working hard on developing a title that I still can’t tell you about.
A game that could perfectly be the sequel to Code Vein, especially if we take into account its commercial success. Of course, this is nothing more than speculation and it could be another episode of God Eater, another of the sagas led by Hisoshi. Or it could even be a new collaborative IP from Bandai Namco.
