My name is Jörg Tittel, author and director at The last worker. Along with Ryan Bousfield and his wonderful team of developers at Wolf & Wood and publisher Wired Productions, I’m excited to bring Xbox players the first look at the gameplay of our narrative adventure, coming later this year.
In our brand new fan, CEO Josef Jüngle takes us on a tour of JFC-1, the flagship fulfillment center that serves Jüngle Corporation’s billions of customers (whose resemblance to real-world companies is purely coincidental, of course). After all, like all leading online retailers, Jüngle has nothing to hide.
Our new trailer offers a small foretaste of the people, the technology and the high-tech computer algorithms in the center of Jüngle with boxes stacked skyscraper high. Jüngle’s promise that the future can actually be delivered today, players will soon be able to experience first-hand.
Released later on Xbox in 2022, The Last Worker is a first-person character- and gameplay-driven narrative adventure centered around humanity’s struggle in an increasingly automated world where humans are gradually being replaced by robots will.
I’ve been fortunate to work with the greatest creative team money can’t buy e.g. B. with composer Oliver Kraus, known for his collaborations with Sia, Adele, Florence and the Machine and others, and legendary comic artist Mick McMahon (Judge Dredd), whose character designs and concepts we have worked hard on to bring them to life in immersive, hand-painted 3D. Along with this unique graphic, our characters are portrayed by an all-star cast including Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Jason Isaacs, Clare-Hope Ashitey and David Hewlett… plus a few actors we’re saving for a future unboxing!
I hope you like the screenshots. Please follow @TheLastWorker, @wolfandwood, and @wiredp on Twitter and stay tuned for updates as we make our way to release!
Keep!
