Halo Infinite is bringing Season 3: Echoes Within to all players today, which is set to herald a new era in shooters. Shorter seasons, more supplies!
343 Industries was criticized for a long time and above all the lack of supplies for Halo Infinite caused displeasure. The waiting times and long seasons angered many fans.
No wonder, after all, Halo Infinite felt like an eternity in development and Halo fans expected a completely different caliber and more supplies.
To all appearances, however, the dry spell is finally over, because today appears with Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within the biggest update for the game so far – and it’s free!
Included are three official maps, two arena maps: Chasm and Cliffhanger, and a large Team Battle map: Oasis.
There is also the game mode escalation killerwhich is the Halo Infinite version of a Gun game mode. In the Arena variant, the starting weapon is the SPNKR and the ending weapon is the oddball, the skull. In the arena you work your way through a total of 11 weapon levels. Plus the Shroud Screen, a futuristic smoke grenade, the M392 Bandit rifle, Battle Pass content, new events and more.
But that’s not all, because the story of the Lone Wolves continues. The Spartan Dinh, one of the Lone Wolf Spartans, is still being pursued. He’s got this exiled AI that infected his mind through his Iratus neural interface. This story continues with new cutscenes and secrets.
In addition, the long seasons should finally come to an end and it can be assumed that Halo Infinite Season 3: Echoes Within will not run for three months or more again.
343 Industries’ Head of Live Performance, Sean Baron, states, “I’m very confident about where things are going in Season 3, and I’m very confident that we’ll be able to continue to improve on that consistency and to completely avoid the long seasons of the past.”
“In our preview of Season 3, I said that this is the beginning of what seasonality means for Halo Infinite. But ‘seasonality’ is limiting. For me, seasonality is really about consistency – we have to be consistent about everything. I’m very confident in the development of Season 3 and I’m very confident that we can continue to improve on that consistency and completely avoid the long seasons of the past.”
“We will be more consistent. We will continue to develop the game in close cooperation with our players. We’re focused on delivering Season 3 and then like the boss said, we’re ready to get back to work.”
