The year begins and with it new opportunities. It’s time for companies, entrepreneurs and startups in the video game and gamification sector to realize those projects that were kept in a drawer waiting for the opportunity to see the light.
A month ago the Madrid in Game Video Game Campus was inaugurated, an initiative of the Department of Economy, Innovation and Employment of Madrid City Hall, which promotes this cutting-edge industry. The Development Center pavilion will welcome these entrepreneurs and help them take them to the next level.
As?
Madrid in Game has launched a pioneering entrepreneurship program at national and international level in which it will bring together talents from video games, gamification and eSports. The first call will start in March this year and gradually new calls will be opened to support more entrepreneurs in the sector.
For 6 months, those selected will benefit from training, support from mentors, assistance in finding funding and attendance at events. In addition, they will have a workspace with all the tools to develop their ideas and make their company solvent, both from a technological and commercial point of view.
What is?
The entrepreneurship program adapts to the different projects according to the stage of maturity in which they are, divided into 3 phases: the pre-incubation phase, for those who work on an idea, a conceptual design or a prototype; the incubation phase, intended for companies that already have a prototype and wish to launch themselves on the market; and the acceleration phase, for launched projects seeking to consolidate their business model.

Madrid in Game is an initiative of Madrid City Council and accompanies the various initiatives aimed at promoting the video game industry and gamification in the capital, thus making it a world reference in the sector.
In this way, Madrid enters the game to continue promoting the capacity for innovation of the city, its professionals and its citizens through two strategic pillars: Madrid Game Cluster, which brings together the entire ecosystem of companies and training centers in the sector, and the Videogame Campus, which has a project incubator-accelerator, a high-performance Esports center and an experience pavilion.
