Supermassive Games and 2K Games they bring us a new horror game called The career. the game aims for a choice-based narrative horror adventure, a very Supermassive style. And for that, he seems clearly influenced by the smash hit Until dawn. He even had the director of this one: Will Bylesto take control of the project.

The career it is described as an experience of “teenage terror”. It is clearly inspired by the cult films of the 80s of the 20th century.. It tells the story of a group of nine teenage camp counselors at Hackett Quarry. Specifically, the last day of summer camp, already close to closing.

Hoping to celebrate with a well-deserved party and then leave the place, they find themselves in a terrifying and bloody night in the purest slasher style. As is classic in games of Supermassive, the cast of the game’s nine characters will be played by illustrious names from Hollywood and even from the genre. David Arquette, Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Lance Henriksen, Lin Shaye O Ted Raimi will weave the threads of this story.

The game will place a strong emphasis on choice/consequence mechanics. Depending on your decisions, the story will go one way or the other with happy or tragic consequences in terms of the survival of the group.

The technical aspect looks great with almost perfect modeling of the real actors, and it looks like it will achieve:

incredible visual fidelity and accomplished cinematic quality. “The Quarry innovates through interactive storytelling and technology to create a truly visceral horror experience for teens.

Will Byles, Project Manager

The career it’s a very different type of game than anything 2K has done before, as corroborated David Ismailer, president of 2K. We will see how they are doing in this new joint adventure. Besides It will have online multiplayer and local co-op modes, although it doesn’t appear to have cross-play enabled. Even the multiplayer mode is intended to be non-intergenerational, probably because of the title’s enormous graphic load. The game will launch on June 10 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can watch its launch trailer below:
