Arrived red falla work resulting from the incredible study of Arkane Austinwho gave us great games within their current library of titles, such as Prey or Dishonored with which they had built their reputation and recognition for these works that had great quality in their production and in the final product.
So the responsibility and the pressure with your new IP, red fallit was so big that apparently it took a toll on them and they would give us a game that wouldn’t be within the standards of Arkane Austin, just like in the industry, being a bit more exaggerated.

The media have given their verdict with Redfall
Several media have already given their verdict regarding Redfall, although it seems that all critics are divided, the truth is that the game does not have the expected reception, there are some analyzes that highlight the game, however , we got the ratings calling the game bad with a rather low score.
Now, as I always recommend to all gamers, the analyzes should be a reference to know a little more about the titles, in the end it is as a player that decides if a game is worth it or not , so have fun. said and remember it is available in Xbox Game PassLet’s go back to the critic’s analysis:
Dual Shockers (85/100)
“Redfall is an open-world shooter where you can crawl through a spooky mansion alone at night, then team up with friends to take on a gigantic vampire in another dimension. It’s weird, and it’s kinda fair .”
Xbox Era (85/100)
“Redfall is fantastic in so many ways. Some baffling design decisions about its cooperative implementation and some frustrating technical issues hold it back. It’s great fun in single player and ridiculously fun in co-op. With a bit of post-launch support, this will become something special. It might end up being Arkane’s lowest-rated title, but it will be his biggest hit. Alone or with friends, Redfall is a game that every fan of the genre should play.
VGC (80/100)
“Redfall is a riveting adventure with deadly combat and an atmospheric setting you can easily lose yourself in for a weekend. Although it seems watered down by Arkane’s systemic standards, it’s about an ambitious, mostly successful experience full of narrative nuances and unique ideas.Hopefully Redfall’s genre revamp will find a way for more shooters of this style in the future and, selfishly…another immersive sim?
Central Windows (60/100)
“Redfall is a usable first-person open-world shooter with perhaps the most pointless ‘RPG layer’ in the history of online gaming. The tools that can make the sandbox more fun are arbitrarily distributed between four distinct playable class characters Weapons you like to wield will become less effective as you “level up” with the game’s meaningless progression system that will only make the campaign harder otherwise interesting. There are too many similar shooters that do almost everything Redfall tries to do, only much better. Redfall is struggling to capture its own identity in a very noisy market. Although there are embers of enjoyment in Redfall, it’s infuriating that it’s the product of the legendary studio that gave us Prey Arkane is clearly out of its league with Redfall.
Pure Xbox (60/100)
“Redfall sees Arkane experimenting with merging genres, with mixed results. There are plenty of glimpses of the narrative flair and flair we’ve come to expect from this incredible studio as you explore the city and battle its undead inhabitants. However , the combination of FPS action and story beats with open-world exploration and a relatively relaxed pace makes for a balancing act that may leave shooter aficionados and Arkane superfans wanting the rest If you’re coming looking for a laid-back vampire hunt, there’s still plenty to enjoy here, but a few annoying AI issues and a lack of clarity about what it really wants to be leaves it a little lost in the game. the limbo of his own.”
GamesRadar + (50/100)
“Even the amazing vampires and world design can’t redeem Redfall’s repetitive gameplay, which gets progressively more monotonous as you play.”
GameSpot (40/100)
“In the end, Redfall is a game that shouldn’t have been released yet. Its litany of bugs hamper the gameplay loop of exploring your world with friends, and that loop itself feels compromised by elements that are poorly executed and unsuitable for the team implementing them. I can’t claim to know if Arkane chose to make a loot shooter or if it was tasked to make a loot shooter, but I can tell you what it does: one of the best game studios in the world is suddenly out of teeth. »
Considering the above, we obtain an average between 62/100 on Xbox and 64/100 on PCthese values may vary when more analysis is obtained from the media, what is clear is that the game had a difficult launch and quite mixed opinions.
