Night diving studios advertisement The Thing: Remastered, the remastering of the survival horror which will be officially launched this year and which already has a specific release date, December 5.
When the developer gave the game a 2024 release window earlier this year, we didn't expect to have to wait an entire year for a specific release date. Nightdive has insisted in every successive communication since then that it would indeed arrive this year.. However, interestingly, its release date doesn't seem too far away. On Xbox Wire, in an article highlighting some of the new game releases in early December, Microsoft listed The Thing: Remastered and states that the game will be released on December 5th.
As far as we know, the game will be shown at the PC Gaming Show on the same date, meaning Microsoft may have accidentally revealed a shadow for the game at the event. Nightdive Studios has been tweaking a few things behind the scenes with The Thing: Remastered, which the developer says features over 1,500 changes, a more forgiving difficulty, and a host of visual improvements to art, lighting, models characters, etc. Regardless of when it launches, The Thing: Remastered will be available on current and previous generation consoles, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, among others.
