Windows 11 insiders are currently testing a new build of Windows 11. Microsoft released new build 22000.1041 (KB5017383) a few days ago, which brings us some interesting news to chew on.
Perhaps the most significant change is that of the new dynamic widgets that are added to the system. When you open the widget panel, a banner appears at the top that allows you to configure inginia notifications. I leave you the official list of changes that you can find in this version.

- New ! Introduced webAuthn redirect. It lets you authenticate to applications and websites without a password when using Remote Desktop. You can then use Windows Hello or security devices, such as Fast Identity Online 2.0 (FIDO2) keys.
- New ! Adding more dynamic Widgets content to your taskbar with notification badges.
- Fixed an issue that required you to reinstall an app if Microsoft Store hadn’t signed that app. This problem occurs after upgrading to a newer operating system.
- Fixed an issue that prevented codecs from being updated from the Microsoft Store.
- Fixed a race condition in the framework’s automatic repair log. This problem occurs because a registry key is missing.
- Fixed an issue affecting the Network Policy Server Management (NPSM) service. This issue causes significant delays during logout.
- Fixed an issue affecting the Windows Search service. Indexing progress is slow while using the service.
- Fixed an issue affecting cached credentials for security keys and FIDO2 authentications. On hybrid domain-joined devices, the system removes these cached credentials.
- Fixed an issue affecting the static IP address of a network. The problem makes the static IP configuration inconsistent. Due to, NetworkAdapterConfiguration() sporadically fails.
- Fixed a rare stop error that occurs after switching display modes and using multiple screens.
- Fixed an issue affecting rendering in the Desktop Window Manager (DWM). This issue may cause the device to become unresponsive in a virtual machine configuration when using certain video graphics drivers.
- Fixed an issue affecting graphics drivers that use d3d9on12.dll.
- Fixed an issue affecting URLs generated by JavaScript: URLs. These URLs do not work as expected when added to Favorites menu in IE mode.
- Fixed an issue that caused IE mode tabs in a session to reload.
- Fixed an issue that correctly opened a browser window in IE mode to view a PDF file. Later, browsing to another site in IE mode in the same window fails.
- Fixed an issue affecting Open window in IE mode.
- We introduced a group policy that enables and disables Microsoft HTML Application (MSHTA) files.
- Fixed an issue affecting Microsoft’s Japanese Input Method Editor (IME). Text conversion fails when using some third-party virtual desktops.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when the entry queue overflowed. This can cause an application to stop responding.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a black screen to appear on screen. This can happen when you use a pencil to enable high dynamic range (HDR).
- Fixed an issue affecting App-V customer service. The service leaks memory when removing nodes from the App-V registry.
- Fixed an issue that could change the default printer if the printer is a network printer.
- Fixed an issue with WDAC policies. If you enable SecureLaunch on a device, WDAC policies will not apply to that device.
- Fixed an issue affecting Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) path rules. This issue prevents .msi and PowerShell scripts from running.
- Fixed an issue that could bypass MSHTML and ActiveX rules for WDAC.
- Fixed an issue that caused WDAC to log events 3091 and 3092 in audit mode.
- Fixed an issue affecting Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC). Prevents WDAC from logging .NET dynamic code trust verification errors.
- Fixed an issue that occurred when a WDAC policy did not load. The system logs this error as an error, but the system should log the error as a warning.
- Fixed an issue affecting code integrity logging. Log problems as errors instead of warnings. For this reason, automatic repair is enabled.
- Fixed an issue affecting the touch keyboard. The touch keyboard closes immediately when you tap to switch apps.
- Fixed an issue that caused LogonUI.exe would stop working. For this reason, you cannot close the lock screen to see the credentials screen.
- Fixed an issue that affected the FindNextFileNameW() That I could lose my memory.
- Fixed an issue affecting robocopy. Robocopy cannot set a file to the correct modification time when using the /IS file
- Fixed an issue affecting cldflt.sys. A Stop error occurs when using with Microsoft OneDrive.
- Fixed an issue affecting the lanmanWorkstation service. When mounting a network drive, the service leaks memory.
- Fixed an issue affecting Get-SmbServerNetworkInterface It retrieves only a subset of available network interfaces.
- Fixed an issue affecting Get-SmbServerConfiguration It only allows you to run it if you are an administrator.
- Fixed an issue affecting roaming user profiles. After logging in or out, some of your settings are not restored.
- Fixed a known issue affecting XML Paper Specification (XPS) viewers. This may prevent you from opening XPS files in some languages other than English. These include some Japanese and Chinese character encodings. This issue affects XPS and Open XPS (OXPS) files.
- Fixed a known issue affecting DST in Chile. This issue can affect the time and dates used for meetings, applications, tasks, services, transactions, etc.
