After its release in July and a number of multiple awards since then Operation: Tango is now releasing a free content update with a brand new challenge mode. So grab your partner and get ready for this new twist on Tango’s spy experience!
The new content update finds Angel and Alistair, our illustrious couple of agents and hackers, back at the Tango HQ training facility, eager to solve a collection of completely reinvented and amplified puzzles inspired by the comments and requests of our community. Players explore the facility and unlock their sections one at a time as they complete challenges. On the way they meet old and new robot friends who help them to pass the training program. But as always, Tango staff can only be successful if they take their communication skills to a new level.
The challenges of the free content update are spy-based time trials. Graduation times will be ranked from bronze to gold, while our Discord server will host leaderboards to give bragging rights to the best agents in the world. But whether you are a casual or competitive gamer, looking for fun or a serious speed run, Operation: Tango
When deciding what new content to produce for the game, the game’s director Mattieu Bégin thought: “Operation: Tango is rich in opportunity, especially for those already familiar with the core mechanics. ”Inspired by the speed running community, Matt asked his team,“ What if this free content release was geared towards speed of execution? ” The team was on board quickly!
Since the new content will be unlocked after completing all the missions, it makes sense to go beyond the thrill of discovering new scenarios and instead challenge players how precisely and quickly they communicate. It’s a fun exercise that is expertly done and lets players choose how far they want to take it.
Everyone can leisurely master the challenges if they just want to experience new content, but those who want to test their limits can try for silver or gold or even compete in the overall ranking on our Discord server.
