He was one of the stars during the preview of what’s coming to the Xbox Series generation. Unfortunately, Always wild with the announcement of its internal reboot falling off the radar, teams struggled to define which direction they wanted the experience to take. Things seem to be more clearly defined since we noticed that one of the gameplay architects is still at work
Jordan Bell’s LinkedIn profile reads:
Developed core gameplay for Everwild, Rare’s next license. Used the Unreal Engine 4 and C++ language, especially when self-testing and finding a quick fix for a large-scale multiplayer world. Extension of the functionality of the Unreal Engine 4 regarding the management of artificial intelligence and the associated development tools. Invented new accessibility options at Xbox Studios
Even if a purely solo adventure was expected, The multiplayer track seems strong enough that Rare has spent a lot of time on the matter. We also note that the game was developed on Unreal Engine 4, with significant work in terms of artificial intelligence management. This could mean that we should not expect a migration to version 5 of the famous engine. We’re excited to see the extent of what’s changed and improved, especially if the title maintains its artistic direction and manages to offer us a vibrant and interactive world.
At the moment we don’t have any official communication on the detailsAlways wild or the details of his proposal. Difficult to know if we will be entitled to a concept close by Sea of Thieves or has something completely different. Are you happy with that direction or rather disappointed that this isn’t a solo experience?
