As part of the 25th anniversary of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Tony Hawk is once again hinting at a new offshoot of the popular skating series.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, released in 2020, marks the last new release in the popular skating series to date. In 2015, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, the last main offshoot of the series, was released, but it didn’t really impress fans.
At the beginning of September, skating legend Tony Hawk gave hope for a new game when he reported renewed talks with Activision. But he didn’t want to reveal anything more at the time.
For the 25th anniversary of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater on Sunday, the “Birdman” upped the ante again. On his Instagram account he expressed his pride and thanked Activision and original developer Neversoft.
Hawk concluded his post with the following suggestion, which could also be understood as a promise:
“I’m not supposed to reveal anything else about the future of the series; but there will be a future.”
