During January’s Xbox Developer Direct event, Microsoft showed off its new installment of Forza Motorsport by Turn10 Studios. His presentation was quite spectacular. Although no concrete release date has been revealedthe team showed off a lot of detail about the cars, tracks, and general features of the game. In fact, so many vehicles were shown it was overwhelming.
Shortly after the presentation, the studio posted a summary of everything that was shown during the live stream on its blog. However, on March 2, the folks at Turn10 released a new blog post removing mentions of certain cars that won’t be available in the base game. The team did not specify which cars these are, although someone on reddit
We’ve updated this blog to remove mentions of some cars that won’t be available in the Forza Motorsport base game. We’ll share more in the future when these vehicles come to Forza Motorsport and how they can be obtained. We apologize for any confusion.
Turn 10 had to remove the hint of cars via DLC
The coolest thing about this update is the mention of a “base” game, which hints that we’ll get more paid vehicles. This is the first time it has been suggested that there might be some sort of DLC plan for the game
Unlike the Horizon series, which usually receives new vehicles through free and paid DLCs through “Festival Playlists”, it’s not yet clear if Motorsport will follow a similar pattern for adding free content.
