Accessibility through design: Ubisoft's new open source tool helps teams to develop for color-blind players.
Ubisoft announced the introduction of Chroma at the Game Accessibility Conference, a real-time simulator for color blindness. Chroma was developed to close the gap between creative vision and accessibility.
It enables developers and creative workers to experience their content through the eyes of color-blind users-and paving the way for a more inclusive future in gaming and in all media forms.
The tool is now freely available as an open source, so that teams in the entire industry can easily integrate it into their work processes and develop it from the start with accessibility in the back of the head.
