Guard dogs: Legion Starting today, players can enjoy a new DLC character and a single player mission on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One as well as a number of free additions to the campaign and online mode with Title Update 4.0. Available through the season pass or as a separate purchase, the DLC contains a new character, Mina Sidhu, a test person whose special OMNI optics enable her to control enemies, disturb them with a mental explosion or recharge their powers by switching them off. She arrives with a new single player mission, Swipe Right, that sets DedSec on the trail of a conspiracy to fund extremists by selling Egyptian antiques.
The free additions to Title Update 4.0 include two new operational types that players can recruit in the open world of London: the DJ and the First Responder. The DJ’s perks include Killer Beat, which provides shorter cooldowns and more damage, as well as a feedback loop ability that can stun nearby enemies. The first responder can meanwhile use a hydraulic rescue tool as a heavy weapon and minimize the damage with his AR Medical Shield ability.
The update also adds five new twists that are randomly attached to open world characters. Someone with the pickpocket twist can make money with every takedown, while hoarders can loot and carry more ammunition. Stuntman workers suffer less damage from falls, explosions and traffic accidents. Second Wind grants health in exchange for quickly defeating enemies; and the Wanted Twist means that Albion or Clan Kelley thugs will attack the agent instantly, no matter where they are. Players will also get more options for cosmetic customization of their employees, with the ability to customize hair and tattoos, as well as clothing.
Much Watch Dogs: Legion Online Content also arrived with the update; Players can now tackle five additional bite-sized solo quests or team up with friends on three new co-op missions:
- Meltdown, in which DedSec is investigating a series of murders that suggest the criminal family Clan Kelley acquired an experimental plasma weapon.
- Malfunction, in which Clan Kelley hackers known as Cousins are taking the London judicial system hostage and demanding that charges against all Kelley members be dismissed as ransom.
- RestThis requires employees to search a cache of DedSec data drives that have been seized from Albion before the private military can use them to locate active DedSec employees.
Finally, online gamers will also have access to two new devices: a guard drone to escort and assist them, and disposable point defense drones that use swarms of drones to block enemy fire.
